Introduction

Welcome to the CaptainBook.io Affiliate Program! This manual is designed to guide you through the process of setting up your affiliate account and starting to resell tours, activities, and experiences provided by our platform. Let's get started on your journey to becoming a successful CaptainBook.io affiliate.

Getting Started

Account Activation

  1. Email Notification: After a supplier creates your affiliation profile, you will receive an email inviting you to start reselling selected tours and services. Look for the "Get Started Now" button within the email.

  2. Platform Access: The email will also contain your platform address and login credentials. Click on "Get Started Now" to proceed.

  3. Setting Your Password: Upon clicking the link, you will be prompted to choose a password. This is a crucial step to secure your account. Once set, you will gain access to your reselling dashboard.

Navigating Your Dashboard

Experiences Session

  • Finding Experiences: Your dashboard's experience session is where all the sellable experiences are listed. You will see various lists, each containing one or more experiences.

Selling Options

You have three primary methods to sell these experiences:

1. Back Office

  • Discovering Experiences: Click on a list name to view the experiences you can sell. Selecting an experience name will open a back office booking page.

  • Booking Process:

    • Add guest mix participant information.

    • Choose a booking date and starting time.

    • Review the price breakdown.

    • Click on "Book Now" and complete the form with customer information.

    • Add any extras as needed and accept the cancellation policy.

  • Payment Options:

    • No Payment on Platform: Either you or the supplier will collect the total amount on the date of the experience.

    • Hotel / Travel Agency Card: Pay the supplier the net price; collect the total amount from the final customer.

    • Customer Card: Input the customer's card for the whole payment.

    • Send Checkout Link: This option sends an email to the customer to proceed with payment. The checkout must be completed within 20 minutes, or the seats will be released.

2. Online (Widget)

  • Widget Installation: This allows you to sell products directly from your website without direct interaction with the final customer.

  • Setup:

    • For all lists, click on "Install Widget" located at the top right beside the "My Lists" title.

    • Choose whether you have your own website or prefer to use a public link not connected to your website.

    • If you have a website, select "I have my own website" and follow the instructions to install the widget.

    • Without a website, we provide a public link you can share with your customers, opening a widget for direct bookings.

3. Direct Link (Not detailed in the initial setup but an essential method)

  • Direct Promotion: Generate and share direct links to specific experiences or lists, ideal for email, social media, or other digital platforms.

Best Practices

  • Familiarize Yourself: Get to know the experiences you're selling to effectively market them.

  • Utilize Marketing Materials: Use provided banners, links, and promotional content to engage potential customers.

  • Stay Informed: Keep up with any updates or new experiences added to the platform to keep your offerings fresh.

4. QR Code

  • Generating QR Codes: A highly effective and modern method to sell experiences is through QR codes. This option allows you to bridge the physical and digital worlds, making it incredibly convenient for customers to access and book experiences.

  • How to Use:

    • Print QR Code: Within your dashboard, for each experience or list, you will find an option to "Print QR Code." Clicking this will generate a downloadable QR code.

    • Placement: This QR code can be placed on flyers, stands at reception areas, or any physical location where potential customers can easily scan it.

    • Customer Interaction: When customers scan the QR code with their smartphone, they will be directed to the widget or specific booking page for the experience. This seamless integration allows for an immediate action from the customer's side, enhancing the chances of conversion.

  • Advantages:

    • Ease of Access: Customers can access booking options instantly without the need for typing URLs or navigating through websites.

    • Versatility: QR codes can be used in a variety of settings, from hotel lobbies to travel fairs, making it a versatile tool for promotion.

    • Engagement: This method can increase customer engagement by leveraging the convenience and novelty of QR technology.

Conclusion

By following this manual, you'll be well-equipped to start reselling tours, activities, and experiences on CaptainBook.io.
