Start by accessing your CaptainBook dashboard. Open your browser and go to CaptainBook.io. After entering your login credentials, you’ll be taken to your dashboard.

Once logged in, look at the menu bar on the left side of your screen. Click on the Channels tab to access the Channel Manager, where all your booking channels are listed.

Understanding Each Channel

OTAs (Online Travel Agencies):

OTAs are platforms like GetYourGuide, Viator, and Klook. Connect these channels to your CaptainBook dashboard to manage your availability, prices, and reservations from one place. This integration ensures consistency across platforms and helps you avoid double bookings.

Direct Booking:

This channel is for bookings made directly from your website. Customize and integrate the booking widget on your website to allow customers to book directly without leaving your page. This reduces friction and increases conversion rates.

Marketplace:

The Marketplace channel connects you with resellers already registered on CaptainBook’s marketplace. Use this channel to list your products and receive bookings with minimal effort, expanding your reach by tapping into an existing network of resellers.

Partners:

This channel allows you to manage your partners, including adding or editing their details. You can enter your partner’s name, email, and commission details. If you have a partner who cannot connect directly with CaptainBook, add them as a "channel partner" to streamline manual bookings and keep your availability up to date.

Affiliates:

Affiliates are resellers, businesses, or individuals who are not yet in the marketplace but can sell your experiences. You can onboard new affiliates by adding them to this channel. Customize your contract terms, such as commission rates and payment terms, and select which experiences they can sell.

Website Builder:

The Website Builder is a tool that offers a customizable template tailored for tour and activity providers. If you don’t have a website, use this tool to create one. It automatically displays the experiences you’ve created on your dashboard, making it easy to start selling online.

Groupon:

Groupon integration allows you to manage Groupon codes efficiently. You can upload a CSV file containing your Groupon codes. These codes will be validated during the checkout process, ensuring smooth redemption and tracking.

By navigating and utilizing the Channels tab in CaptainBook, you can manage your booking channels effectively, maximizing your reach and simplifying your operations.
