Connecting Captainbook Experience to GetYourGuide through Channel Manager

This document outlines the steps to connect your experience with GetYourGuide via the Channel Manager.

Prerequisites

  1. Active Subscription: Ensure you have an active subscription with Captainbook. If not, you will need to upgrade your account.

  2. Login Credentials: Have your Captainbook dashboard login credentials ready.

Steps to Connect Captainbook to GetYourGuide

Step 1: Log in to Your Captainbook Dashboard

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Captainbook login page.

  2. Enter your username and password, then click on the Login button.

Step 2: Access the Channel Manager

  1. Once logged in, you will be directed to the dashboard.

  2. On the left menu bar, locate and click on the Channel icon.

Step 3: Select GetYourGuide

  1. Within the Channel Manager, find and click on the GetYourGuide icon.

Step 4: Upgrade Your Account (if required)

  1. If you have not connected any other channels yet, you will need to upgrade your account.

  2. Click on the Upgrade Now button to proceed with upgrading your account.

Step 5: Subscription Activation

  1. If you do not have any active subscription, you will see the following message:

    It looks like you do not have an active subscription. You may choose one of the subscription plans below to get started. Subscription plans may be changed or cancelled at your convenience.
  2. Select the appropriate subscription plan from the options provided.

  3. Click on the Subscribe button.

  4. Enter your credit or debit card details.

  5. Depending on your bank card issuer, you may need to authorize the card authentication on your mobile app.

  6. Once approved, you will be redirected to the payment section.

  7. Go back to Captainbook and navigate to the Channel Manager again.

  8. Click on the GetYourGuide icon.

Step 6: Connect Your Experiences

  1. You will now see the list of experiences you can connect to GetYourGuide.

  2. Click on Connect for the experience you need to link, ensuring you have already created the experience in the GetYourGuide dashboard.

  3. A unique ID will be generated to use in GetYourGuide to match the listings. This ID will be sent to you via email.

Step 7: Configure GetYourGuide Dashboard

  1. Once you receive the Captainbook UID, go to the GetYourGuide dashboard.

  2. Click on the product you would like to connect.

  3. Click on Edit for the relevant option.

  4. Under the Connectivity Settings, choose Yes, I use a reservation system.

  5. In the dropdown menu for Select your Reservation System, look for and select Captainbook.

  6. In the field External Product ID, enter the ID sent to you via email.

  7. GetYourGuide will attempt to place a reservation to confirm the connectivity.

  8. You will see a confirmation message on your GetYourGuide dashboard if the connection has been successful.

  9. The listings are now connected, and availability will be synced in real-time.

  • Subscription Management: Subscription plans can be changed or cancelled at any time from your Captainbook dashboard.
