In this guide, we will cover the following topics:

Accessing the Booking Feed

After logging into the CaptainBook platform, access the booking feed by following these steps:

  1. Click on the second icon on the menu bar labeled "Booking".

  2. This will take you to the booking feed where all your bookings are listed.

Customizing the Booking Feed

In the booking feed, you can customize the visible columns by clicking on the "Showing Columns" button. Check or uncheck the desired columns to add or remove them from your table. By default, the table view displays the following columns:

  • Booking ID: The unique identifier for the booking. Clicking on it takes you to the booking details page.

  • Description: The name of the experience. Clicking on it directs you to the experience edit page.

  • Experience Date: The date when the experience is scheduled to occur. Clicking on it navigates to the specific availability.

  • Customer: The name of the person who made the booking.

  • Nominal Cost: The base cost of the experience before adding any extras or tips.

  • Paid: The total amount that has been paid so far.

  • Extras: The total cost of any additional items purchased.

  • Tips: The amount of any tips given.

  • Due: The remaining amount to be paid after the deposit.

  • Total Cost: The overall cost, including all charges.

  • Voucher: Displays the voucher amount if the booking was made using a voucher from a travel agency.

  • Resources: The name of the resource assigned to the booking.

  • Status: The current status of the booking (e.g., confirmed, canceled, or reservation).

  • Agent: Indicates whether the booking was made via a specific widget, a reseller, back office, or internally.

  • Booking Date: The date on which the booking was confirmed.

Searching, Filtering, and Additional Features

To find specific bookings, you can use the search bar located beside the column selector. Here are additional features available in the booking feed:

  • View Options: Switch between table view and feed view using the selectors beside the search bar.

  • Import/Export Buttons: Use these buttons to import bookings from an Excel file or export the booking list for further analysis.

Filtering Options

You can filter your booking list with various options:

  • Customers: Enter a customer name to filter bookings by customer.

  • Booking Channel: Filter based on the booking source, such as Marketplace, Widget name, Internal, OTAs, etc.

  • Experience Date: Filter by the date range when the experience will take place.

  • Booking Date: Filter by the date range when the booking was made.

  • Transaction Date: Filter by the date range when the transaction occurred.

  • Booking Status: Filter by status, such as confirmed or cancelled.

At the bottom of the page, you will see the total amount summed from the rows above. The view is limited to the last 20 bookings, but you can navigate to the next page by clicking on the page numbers or using the arrows.
