The Update Pricing action adjusts pricing for an availability slot. You can increase or decrease prices by percentage or fixed amount.

Overview

The Update Pricing action adjusts pricing for an availability slot. You can increase or decrease prices by percentage or fixed amount.


Configuration

Availability ID (Required)

The ID of the availability to update pricing for.

Adjustment Value (Required)

Amount to adjust prices by. Format depends on adjustment mode.

For Percentage Mode:

  • 10 = Increase by 10%

  • 5 = Decrease by 5%

For Currency Mode:

  • 5.00 = Increase by $5.00

  • 2.50 = Decrease by $2.50

Adjustment Mode (Required)

How to apply the adjustment:

  • percentage - Adjust by percentage

  • currency - Adjust by fixed currency amount

Minimum Price (Optional)

Minimum price guardrail. Prices won't go below this value.

Maximum Price (Optional)

Maximum price guardrail. Prices won't go above this value.


Output

Returns the updated availability object in the workflow context.


Examples

1. Increase by 10%

Availability ID: {availability.id} 
Adjustment Value: 10
Adjustment Mode: percentage

2. Decrease by $5

Availability ID: {availability.id} 
Adjustment Value: -5.00
Adjustment Mode: currency

3. With Guardrails

Availability ID: {availability.id} 
Adjustment Value: 20
Adjustment Mode: percentage
Minimum Price: 50.00
Maximum Price: 200.00

How It Works

  • Updates all pricing tiers for the availability

  • Applies adjustment to base prices

  • Enforces minimum/maximum price limits

  • Ensures prices don't go negative


Best Practices

  1. Test adjustments - Verify pricing changes in test mode

  2. Use guardrails - Set min/max to prevent extreme prices

  3. Check base prices - Ensure base prices exist

  4. Monitor impact - Track how pricing changes affect bookings
