Company Setup and Configuration

Learn how to configure your organization details, business location, and operational preferences in CaptainBook.

Written by Jerome Bajou

The Company Setup page lets you configure essential organization-level settings that apply across your entire CaptainBook workspace. These settings affect how your business appears to customers, how bookings are processed, and how your team operates day to day.

Accessing Company Setup

To open Company Setup, expand the settings menu in the left sidebar and click Company Setup. You will need admin-level permissions to access and modify these settings.

Location of Business

The Location of Business section defines your company's physical address and operational time zone. Use the search bar to find your address on the map, or check the manual entry option to type it in directly. The fields in this section include:

  • Street Address β€” Your main office address or the location where you start your experiences. This address may appear on booking confirmations and invoices.

  • Google Place ID β€” An optional field that links your business to its Google Maps listing, improving accuracy for location-based features.

  • Time zone β€” Sets the default time zone for your workspace. All schedules, availability slots, and booking times will follow this setting.

After making changes, click UPDATE to save your settings.

Tax Details

The Tax Details section allows you to configure tax-related information for your organization. This data is used when generating invoices and financial documents for your customers.

Contact Details

Use the Contact Details section to provide your company's phone number, email address, and other contact information. This information may be displayed on customer-facing communications and booking confirmations.

Online Presence

The Online Presence section lets you add links to your website and social media profiles. Keeping this information up to date ensures customers can find and follow your business across different platforms.

Review Links

You can configure review collection links in this section. CaptainBook can direct customers to leave reviews on platforms like Google or TripAdvisor after their experience, helping you build your online reputation.

Tips for Company Setup

  • Make sure your time zone is set correctly before creating availability schedules, as changing it later may affect existing bookings.

  • Keep your contact details current so customers can reach you if they have questions about their booking.

  • Add your Google Place ID to improve how your location appears on maps and in search results.
