This guide walks you through editing an existing experience in CaptainBook, from opening the Experience Editor to updating details, pricing, and availability.
After completing these steps, your changes are saved section by section and the experience is ready to publish.
Step 1: Open the Experiences list
Click Experiences in the left sidebar to view all of your existing experiences.
Step 2: Open the experience in the Experience Editor
Find the experience you want to edit (for example, Sailing Boat Experience) and click its name to open the Experience Editor.
Step 3: Update the Basic Details
The Basic details section at the top lets you update the experience title, product code, description, inclusions, exclusions, and category.
Click the Title field and edit the experience name.
Update the Product code and Description as needed.
Scroll to the bottom of the section and click Save & Continue to persist your Basic Details changes.
Step 4: Update the Pricing
Scroll down to the Pricing section to edit the base price and pricing label.
Enter the base price in the Starting from retail price field.
Update the pricing label (for example, per person) to describe what the price covers.
Use Change pricing strategy if you need tiered or group pricing.
Click Save & Continue in the Pricing section to save your changes.
Step 5: Manage availability in Schedules
Scroll down to the Schedules section to manage session times, capacity, and availability for your experience.
Click into Session 1 (or add another schedule) to update times, languages, starting points, and capacity.
Step 6: Reopen the editor from the Experiences list
You can return to any experience at any time by going back to Experiences and clicking its name to open the editor again.
Step 7: Save and publish
Each section of the Experience Editor saves independently using its own Save & Continue button. Once all sections are saved, scroll to the bottom to confirm your Locations and use the Publish control to make the experience visible to customers.
Troubleshooting
If you can't find an Edit button on the Experiences list, click the experience name directly β it opens the Experience Editor without an intermediate step.
Changes only persist after clicking Save & Continue in the section you edited. Sections do not save automatically when scrolling.
