Change or add a pricing category

Written by Luca Lattanzio

This guide walks you through editing an existing pricing category and adding a new one with custom age and type rules on an experience.

After setup, the experience displays updated fares per category and bookings apply the correct rate based on age and type.

Step 1: Open the experience

  1. From the dashboard, click Experiences in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the experience you want to edit — for example, Best Tours Inc Experience.

Step 2: Open the Pricing section

From the experience, open the Pricing section via the breadcrumb. The page lists all existing pricing categories with their name, subtitle, description, and default fare.

Step 3: Edit an existing pricing category

  1. Locate the category you want to change (e.g., Adults).

  2. Update the Name, Subtitle, Description, or Default fare directly in the form.

Click Update to save the changes to the category.

Step 4: Add a new pricing category

  1. Click Add a new category at the bottom of the Pricing page.

  2. Fill in the Name (e.g., Children).

  3. Fill in the Subtitle (e.g., Ages 4-12).

  4. Enter the Default fare (e.g., 25).

Step 5: Apply age restriction and type

  1. Click Click here to restrict this fare by age to reveal the age fields.

  2. Set the minimum and maximum Age (e.g., 412).

  3. Choose a Type from the dropdown — options include ADULT, CHILD, INFANT, YOUTH, STUDENT, SENIOR, and more. Select CHILD for a children's fare.

Step 6: Save the new category

Click Update to save the new pricing category. It now appears alongside the existing categories and is available for bookings.
