If you're new here and looking to create your first experience, you're in the right place. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up your first experience, making it appealing and ready for customers. Let’s dive in!

Step 1: Starting with a Catchy Title

  • Choose Your Title: The first step is to give your experience a title. Make sure it's catchy, descriptive, and at least 10 characters long. This is the first thing potential customers will see, so it's important to make a good impression.

Step 2: Selecting the Main Category

  • Pick a Category: Categories help classify your tour and make it easier for resellers to find what they're looking for. Since you're offering a daily cruise on a sailing boat, the best category would be "Sailing / Boat Tours".

  • More on Categories: You can find more details about categories in the reseller section.

Step 3: Assigning the Experience to a Widget Folder

  • Choose a Widget Folder: On the lower part of the screen, you’ll see a dropdown menu for selecting a widget folder. For now, let’s leave it on the default 'Home' folder.

Step 4: Describing Your Journey

  • Write a Detailed Description: Describe what customers should expect from your tour. Be thorough and paint a vivid picture of the experience.

Step 5: Uploading Photos

  • Select the Best Photos: Choose photos that represent your tour well. Remember:

    • Landscape images work best.

    • Minimum resolution: 568x299 pixels (ideal: 1890x990).

    • File size: between 1 MB and 4 MB.

    • Photos should be bright, clear, and in color.

    • Avoid selfies, posed people, filters, text, graphics, logos, or collages.

    • Your cover photo should show people naturally enjoying your experience.

    • Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG.

Step 6: Scheduling Your Experience

  • Define the Schedule: Decide if your experience is scheduled by the hour or by day. This is crucial for how customers will plan their visit.

    • Hourly Scheduled Experience: This is for experiences with predetermined start and end times. Examples include tours that occur daily or on specific days of the week. Customers must arrive at the specified time. It's ideal for guided tours or events with a fixed schedule.

    • Daily Scheduled Experience: This option is suitable for experiences without a set starting time. Examples include museum entrance tickets or virtual experiences that can be accessed at any time during the day. This format offers flexibility for customers to choose when they start the experience within a given day.

Step 7: Group Type & Capacity

  • Choose Between Shared or Private: Decide if your experience will be shared (open to multiple unrelated bookings) or private (one booking reserves the entire slot).

  • Set Maximum Capacity: Determine how many people you can host.

Step 8: Setting Fares and Price Categories

  • Specify Prices: Assign a price per person for each category. You can create different categories like 'Adults', 'Children', etc.

  • Age Restrictions and Fare Types: Define age ranges for each fare and assign fare types for OTA mappings.

  • Internal Fares: Use the tick box to designate fares for internal use only.

Step 9: Defining the Location

  • Set the Location: If your business is listed on Google My Business, search for it. Otherwise, input the address manually.

Step 10: Creating Availabilities

  • Schedule Details: Input the start and end times, and the days of the week your tour will operate. Plan in advance to attract early bookings.

Step 11: Finalizing Your Experience

  • Finish and Preview: Click 'Finish' to complete your listing. Preview your work with the "Preview Book Now" button.

Congratulations!

Your basic listing is now complete! You can start attracting customers with your newly created experience. Remember, you can always come back to create a new experience or edit the one you just crafted.
