Add photos to enhance your experience listing

Written by Luca Lattanzio

This guide walks you through uploading and managing photos on an existing experience using CaptainBook's Photo Manager.

After setup, your experience listing displays at least six high-quality landscape photos with a designated cover image, ready to attract bookings.

Prerequisites

  • An existing experience in your account.

  • At least six landscape photos in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.

  • Each photo sized at minimum 568x299 pixels, ideally 1890x990 pixels, between 1 MB and 4 MB.

Step 1: Open the experience you want to edit

  1. Click Experiences in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the experience you want to add photos to.

Step 2: Open the Photo Manager

  1. On the experience edit page, scroll down to the Photos section.

  2. Click Add Photos to open the Manage pictures page.

Step 3: Upload your photos

Click the Add a photo button (the plus sign) to open the file picker, then select a landscape image from your computer.

Repeat until you have uploaded at least six photos. Each upload appears as a thumbnail in the grid with a caption field for descriptive text.

Photo specifications

  • Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG.

  • Minimum resolution: 568x299 pixels.

  • Recommended resolution: 1890x990 pixels.

  • File size: between 1 MB and 4 MB.

  • Orientation: landscape only.

Content guidance

Use photos that highlight what is unique about your experience and show travellers enjoying it. Images must be bright, clear, in colour, and must accurately represent what guests will experience.

Step 4: Set the cover image

The first photo in the grid is automatically used as the cover image on your listing. To change the cover, drag any photo to the first position.

Step 5: Save your photos

Scroll to the bottom of the Manage pictures page and click Done to save all uploaded photos to your experience.
