This guide walks you through generating a discount code in CaptainBook using the six-step discount wizard. After setup, the code appears on your Discounts page with a shareable link you can send to customers via social media or email.

From the left sidebar, click Discounts. The Discounts page lists every code you've already created and gives you a starting point for new ones.

Click Offer a new discount to open the creation wizard.

In step 1 Experience, choose which experience the discount applies to.

Type a keyword into the Search field to filter the list, then click an experience to select it.

Click Select all to apply the discount to every experience at once.

In step 2 Period, use the calendar to pick the date range during which the discount applies to experience dates. If no period is selected, the discount applies to every experience taking place from now on.

Click a start date and an end date on the calendar, or click Skip to leave the period unrestricted.

In step 3 Price, type the discount value into the percentage field, then click Next.

In step 4 Validity, use the calendar to define the window during which customers can actually use the code to make a booking. This is independent of the experience period set in Step 3.

Pick a start and end date, or click Skip if the code should remain valid indefinitely.

In step 5 Limitations, enter the maximum number of times the code can be redeemed in the Number of discounts field. This page also exposes optional settings for discount listing, auto-apply, a cover image, and discount details.

Click Finish to generate the code.

On the final Congratulations screen, CaptainBook generates the discount code and a shareable link. Use the sharing options to distribute the link via social media or email, or copy it directly and paste it wherever you need.

Click View all discounts to return to the Discounts page and manage every code you've created.
