To begin, log into your CaptainBook dashboard. Once you’re logged in, locate the Discounts tab in the menu bar on the left side of your screen. This is where you can create, manage, and apply discounts to your experiences.
Creating a New Discount
Once inside the Discounts tab, look for the Add Discount button at the top right corner of the screen. Click on this button to start creating a new discount.
You’ll be prompted to fill out the discount details, including:
Discount Name: Enter a name that helps you easily identify the discount.
Discount Type: Choose the type of discount (e.g., percentage or fixed amount).
Discount Amount: Specify the value of the discount.
Valid Dates: Set the start and end dates for when the discount will be available.
Applicable Experiences: Select the specific experiences to which this discount will apply.
After filling out the necessary information, click Save to create your discount.
Managing Existing Discounts
Below the Add Discount button, you’ll see a list of all your current discounts. Each discount entry provides an overview, including the name, type, amount, and valid dates.
To manage an existing discount:
Edit: Click on the Edit button next to a discount to modify its details. Update any fields as needed and click Save to apply changes.
Delete: If you wish to remove a discount, click the Delete button next to the discount. Confirm the deletion in the prompt that appears.
Applying Discounts to Bookings
Once you have created your discounts, they will automatically be applied to eligible bookings within the specified date range and for the selected experiences. You can monitor how discounts impact your bookings directly from the Discounts tab or through the booking details page.
